19th Cent. Dutch art: how to paint a nude

De painter is in this picture also: the man with the hat, seated just left of the model.
The gentlemen are strangely not interested in the model, or perhaps they are discussing
how it came to be all of their sketches show the model with a hard on...
And what are those two men doing, close to the model's open legs? Shall we?
